The challenge

Made-to-measure wallpaper is priced on each customer’s dimensions. Shopify’s standard product pricing and the available apps did not offer the right experience, and customers had to phone or email the team with their measurements before they could order.

The solution

A custom calculator lets customers enter wall dimensions in centimetres or inches, add an optional wastage allowance, position the artwork and choose a material. A measuring guide supports the process. Customers receive a PDF preview by email, and the design is automatically sent to the manufacturer, connecting the personalised order with production. A simple sample-ordering flow lets customers try a design first. Stock is synchronised with print-on-demand suppliers, and 301 redirects from the old Magento URLs kept existing links and search visibility intact through the migration.

The result

Orders through the custom calculator increased 16x, as customers no longer need to phone or email their measurements. The easier sample-ordering process improved conversion, and CRO work increased cart value.
